CA: 2005 legacy Gt 5EAT, 177k, New Motor, $8,500k
2005 Legacy Gt Auto
Carlsbad, CA $8,500 OBO 177k Miles on Chassis 1100 Miles on new motor Automatic 5EAT Transmission Brand new engine. This legacy had a broken ring on cylinder 4. Super common. So I rebuilt the whole engine with a brand new block. I did not rebuild the old block and old pistons. This is a BRAND new block from Subaru of America with all brand new internals; pistons, rings, rods, crank, etc. vf40 turbo rebuilt by Pure turbos in Oceanside. They are very well known and do quality work. Valves lapped and heads decked at local machine shop. If you are concerned with the quality of work call me and I will explain how everything was done. Its a pretty straight forward engine replacement. The block comes all ready to go from Subaru. Everything is in factory condition except the forged BBS wheels that originally came on STI's. Passes smog no problem. List of new engine parts: New Block Headgaskets Head Studs Water Pump Oil Pump Timing Belt Radiator and all hoses Group N Engine mounts Electrical harness (all brand new wiring in the engine bay) All sensors (Coolant temp, Crankshaft position, MAF, Etc) List of New Chassis Parts: 177,000 Miles OEM lower control arms OEM lateral links New coilovers New brake rotors and pads New tires This is a brand new engine and these 5EAT transmissions are known for being bulletproof. This thing will run for another 100k without messing with it. It has 500 miles on it, I am still breaking it in. Issues: Some faded paint Blend door actuator for the AC blower makes a clicking sound E-brake handle boot needs replacing ($40 ebay) Front-right CV boot of any EJ2xxt series engine gets toasted by the turbo. If you have owned a turbo subaru before you are familiar with what I am talking about. Subieshop can replace the boot and pack some new grease for real cheap. I am reasonable and can negotiate a price or trade with someone.

Thanks! I got the auto as a commuter car a while back. Im actually pretty impressed by the 5EAT though. It is used in the Nissan Armada and can take a beating.
