Default 09 wrx camshaft position sensor issues

Hello everyone, new here and trying to get some help on my car. As stated the car is a 2009 wrx. I was on my way to work a few weeks ago ( about 30 minute drive) and it was driving fine when suddenly the engine turns off and threw the codes p0340 and p0345. At first my access port said it was unable to communicate with the computer but after unplugging and replugging the AP it had no more issues. I replaced both camshaft position sensors and cleared the codes. The CEL immediately came back on with the same codes and the car will not start.
I've tried checking out the wiring harness and there's no breaks or shorts from what I can tell. I pulled the ecu and it doesn't look damaged at all. Any advice would be incredible, thanks in advance
