Additional crank position signal for stand-alone data logging / acquisition?
I'm looking to do some stand-alone data acquisition of additional sensors that I'll add onto my turbo EJ engine (pre-CAN bus ECM).
I'd like to get thoughts/suggestions on:
Anyone know of anyone doing something like this for Engine Management / logging?

IIRC on the GD it has a signal you can grab off of the tach signal. You should also be able to pull data off of the OBD2 port.

If it's just for an rpm reading....take it from an injector trigger, coil, cam sensor etc etc. It doesn't need to be from the crank which is more awkward with 2 wire sensors.
