My Rally blue 2019 Premium WRX is gone :(
So after 3 years 26k miles, I sold my 2019 WRX. I was offered 2k over the original price I paid back then (that's insane). I decided to get an 2022 Geyser Blue Outback Wilderness. That thing is also insane in its own league. But after all of the letters/emails (a lot) from the dealership asking me to buy my car I gave up. CVT is not the greatest, but not having to use the clutch and shift, is very welcoming at 47 years old. Also the outback's are very loaded and very comfy...also having the same engine the new wrx has, I still feel like a "Ricer" , also it just sold too, Jesus that was fast. If you live around North Olmsted OH and just got an used rally blue premium 2019 WRX, let me know how the old friend is doing
Sure was fun

The Outback (and Legacy) have a much more compliant ride than WRX or Crosstrek (we have 2 Crosstreks, a Legacy and an STi in the family), so I get that as you get older, maybe that's nice? Older than you, I bought a Lotus Elise. But with 3 fractured vertebrae from an accident last fall, the wife's Legacy is much nicer to drive than any of our other cars.

one chapter ends...another begins.
despite the wife suggesting I get an "automatic" so she doesn't have to futz with three pedals; I still got my "next" car with three pedals. Maybe one day I'll cave and get a DSG/flappy paddle vehicle; but for now, three pedals are going to be in my daily driver. Doubt I will get a CVT Subaru; unless the wife wants an Ascent to replace her CX-5. I wouldn't mind a bet less road noise in the WRX (about 5 dB worth), and I wouldn't mind some auto-rev-matching, and possibly a slightly softer ride; but sometimes the factory gets it wrong and you have to go to the aftermarket to solve "problems". glad it worked out for you. now time for some axle-backs, nobby tires and light bars |

That's a nice blue, but I'd honestly love to see a Subaru option on the outback that looks like the Hyundai blue stone or the Toyota cavalry blue.
I think that would look great. Congrats on your new car! |

You got to do what you got to do! An offer like that is really nice and won't be available forever. It's definitely still a seller's market right now. Hopefully you didn't get gouged by inflated sticker price?
