Hey ladies and germs ! The ride is great and I'll say these will probably outlast typical replacement struts, but whose to say. I've put about 2k miles on them and I'm impressed. I'd consider putting them on a daily N/A driver for the feel of it. I got squeaky bushings from all the after market stuff on (mostly the ALK whiteline control arm bushings)
I tried soft +4 then soft +8, about 16 clicks between soft to hard. This is based on +8 clicks. I plan on leaving it +12 clicks front +10 clicks rear not sure yet. To put it forward I've noticed a drastic change in straight on bumps and dips. It's like the feel of getting to the smooth spot when you're sanding. You clench your buttcheeks but actually could have them relaxed. You wanna curve to avoid (as always should) and keep your center. Speed bumps? Yeah they're there for a reason don't be a jackass. It definitely has a new ride quality feel with the added benefits of the internal bump stop along with the *adjustable ride comfort*(*plus only*) I think they are a competitive price for what you actually get. A comfort coilover is honestly my best easy description. Any other specific questions please feel free to directly ask, and I apologize for whomever has been waiting for more. I need some help here, I hope some one can point me in a better direction as I got lost on the search bar. !MY CASTER IS TOWARDS THE FRONT ON MY DRIVERS SIDE! I think I have a mismatched pair of sti aluminum control arms! I thought one might of had the caster flip mod but looks like it isn't. I see a slight bend forward on the driver's side front arm vs the passenger side. What aluminum control arm do I need to match my passenger side so the wheel is centered?? Thanks a whole subie bunch

nothing wrong with some caster but can you show us with a few pictures? Depending on which arm is which, I have some extra ones laying around from not being able to use bent arms. We can work a trade or something.
Get your car up, remove the wheel and take a picture of the top side of the arms focusing on the area near the endlink mounting tabs. The forging there is the clear indicator of which arms you have on which side. 'Spade' shape is 04-06 STI which is caster-adding, 'arrow' shape is the other GD/SG aluminum offering. |

I want to apologize I didn't get the pictures from above.. but got underneath and got what differences I seen. STi aluminum control arms on my 05 wrx wagon https://imgur.com/a/LMlJUMJ I really appreciate the offer of swapping control arms and will take you up on that to center my driver side, since it rubs on the front corner of the fender and liner sometimes. |

I just ordered a set of 04 STi Tein Endurapro plus to install on my bugeye. Have not decided on springs yet, perhaps stock STi or usdm pinks. Either way, stock STi or usdm pinks have just about identical rates, pinks would lower the car slightly. Going to install new oem STi top hats, don’t think I want the firmer group N. I’m old, I only street drive my car, some performance but comfortable is what I’m after. I’ve been running Koni inserts for years and love them. I hope I don’t regret going with the Endurapro plus. I’ll come back here and let you know what I think.

Well, my order was takings too long to ship so I got cold feet about the Tein struts. Canceled that order, going with Koni inserts instead, I’ve had them before for well over a decade and love them.

I ordered these through fastWRX and got them the next day. I am going to install them with KYB top hats and Eibach springs, when I have the chance I will post a bunch of pics. Out of the box I am impressed with the quality, more to come.

Do they use bump stops or not?
"Hello, Since the EnduraPro and EnduraPro Plus dampers are designed as an OE/stock replacement, they'll require installation just like a stock/factory shock absorber would. Unless a TEIN bump stop is included with the damper, you'll need to use the stock one. Regards, Sales TEIN U.S.A. Inc." |

I found the following when looking into this myself:
http://teinusa-blog.com/tag/coils/ "Although the ENDURAPRO/PLUS shock absorbers utilize our internal Hydraulic Bump Stoppers (H.B.S.), you will still need to retain either a OEM or TEIN bump stop, which is used as a precautionary measure." BTW I had sent you a PM 2pot. I was interested in pairing these with your WA/A2's if available! |

Bump stop, dust boot, and new nut all came with them, which was a much welcomed surprise! These are the only pictures I've taken so far.

Yeah, I just got everything installed and aligned on Thursday! I haven't had the time to do the work myself so I had my buddy do it at his shop. The car rides great with the new setup, it's definitely a little harsher on bumps but turn-in response is improved. I didn't know much about suspension when I started this little tour (I'm still learning) but overall it feels like it rides much better than stock without being too harsh or raw. I haven't gotten to drive it too much so just my initial thoughts. Apparently the rear Teins did not come with the dust boots so he just reused the old ones. I'm very happy with it so far! edit: I haven't messed with the adjustments on the Teins yet either, but they have 16 click settings. As I mentioned I don't know much about suspension but I will definitely try to mess with them at some point to see how it changes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
