What color car they should get? What wheels they should get? Etc.
Wow, really? Maybe we should just ban anyone starting any threads about '02-'07 cars since there are certainly already threads covering any topic for those cars.

Why is the post missing motortrend's 6mt figure 8, 1/4 mile and skid pad. Should probably add road and track's and edmund's times as well

Here's another thing to add to the knowledge base since a lot of owners would be looking to purchase these:

Weathertech FloorLiner DigitalFit for 2012-2014 Impreza (non-WRX) fit the 2015 WRX perfectly.

Link to product page: http://www.weathertech.com/subaru/20...excluding-wrx/

Part numbers if ordering at a dealer or on the phone or 3rd party sites:
4439-1 for 1st row, 44391-2 for 2nd row

I wasn't able to find them. I only saw a MT article testing a CVT premium model & an STI.

I began creating this thread mainly when the 2015 WRX thread was closed & the mod said "will be deleted in a couple days". I honestly couldn't fathom why anyone would delete a thread with so much information posted in it so I went and skimmed the pages for the info I knew was in there (since I had been reading every post since back in January). Sure there were a few instances of 2-3 pages of copmletely worthless banter but the next page would have a decent discussion regarding the LED headlight "C"s operation for example.

I've created threads similar to this for other cars I've owned. It is a cross of me seeing people posting the same stuff over and over (which is unavoidable on any car forum) and to keep my own personal reference of information I've discovered. When I read a really damn good thread about a topic I care about I tend to forget what the URL is when I want to come back to it later. I'm sure many other ppl are the same way.

This might be a silly question, but for the people who get the keyless access WRX/STI...

How many keys did you get? I only got 2 key fobs.

Was I supposed to get a Valet key? Or the valet key is just the slide out key in each fob?

Lock your glove box and trunk with the key take it with you give valet just the fob. Write down mileage when you lend them the car.

Yeah, I could have sworn I read somewhere that someone got 2 key fobs AND a valet key.

Just wanna make sure my dealer isn't holding a key.

I think the physical key inside the fob may be referred to as the valet key. Meaning the key you need to lock everything up, but you still need to give a valet a fob and you only get two of those.

Topics I've been trying to find some definitive information on include:

1: FA20DIT ECU tuning status (cobb/ecutek/etc)

2: FA20DIT downpipe development

3: Front & rear swaybar sizes on stock STI

4: Whether the LED turn signal mirrors from STI are plug & play to the WRX, do harnesses exist in the door panel? part numbers, etc

5: Factory speaker depth limits for front & rear. Speaker adapter options. Tips for improving SQ of the garbage factory system

6: Subwoofer mounting locations, custom sub boxes available and amp placement.

7: STI factory wheel weights w/out tires to the nearest 1/10th of a lb.

8: Wheel offset limits for factory fenders. Won't know this until more lowering springs are available

9: lowering spring offerings

10: swaybar/endlink offerings

11: suspsension brace offerings

12: More published magazine test results. If you know them, post them! (or at least link an article)

Thank you for your interest in our products. We have recently received our in-house 15 WRX for testing and development as well as a 15 STi. On the hard parts side, this means we can finally start looking at what existing parts fit and decide on what new hard parts we will need to develop. On the tuning side, this means we can finally start testing and working towards a release for the Accessport and the Accesstuner tuning software.

The 15 STi engine control unit (ECU) is basically the same hardware as the prior year with some calibration changes, so not a whole lot of mystery there. The calibration changes are more numerous than Subaru's typical year-to-year changes, so we do have to revisit our OTS calibrations to make sure we have the optimal tunes for this year. It is not known if every part of engine hardware is exactly identical to prior STi - that is something we have to determine as we create these new OTS maps (and see how the car responds).

The 15 WRX ECU is all new and significantly different than the prior WRX, obviously due to new motor w/ DI, etc. We are not starting from scratch here, though. We've already cracked the ECU prior to our car's arrival and have done a pretty thorough analysis of its engine code. That said, we have a lot of testing, verification, and additional development to do before an Accessport release becomes a reality (we are always very thorough to make sure we deliver the highest quality product we can).

The 14 FXT has been brought up before. We have also done a pretty thorough analysis of the engine code here as well. The issue with this car is that we have not decided if we are going to support it or not. The problem here is not that there's any obstacle that we have to overcome to tune this car, but whether or not the product will be successful enough to warrant the resources involved. Even after a product is released, there are resources involved in customer support, software/firmware updates, map updates, etc. that continue as long as we still offer the Accessport for that vehicle. So, while we haven't ruled it out, we haven't given it the go-ahead either.

As far as the BRZ, we decided awhile back that this wasn't the right product for us. Again, no obstacle here as far as cracking the ECU, but we did not believe there would be enough return on our investment to pursue support for that car. That doesn't mean that we won't change our minds in the future, but, currently, we do not have any plans to support a tuning solution for the BRZ.

Bill
Gro feel free to copy and post this if and where you see fit.

On page 336 of the manual, it says start engine without depressing the accelerator pedal. Typo?
