Unless you finance only 15k then the monthly price will be mid-high 400's. I imagine my numbers are better than most (805 was my lowest credit score).

73 now and still have my 2006 WRX wagon. Before that had a 2002 purchased in March of 2001, so I've been in WRX land for 21 years!

35 and finally back in a turbo subie. Sold my05 LGT wagon 7 years ago, just picked up a '17 wrx 2 weeks ago and i'm loving it so far. blacked out windows, ya know, so the haters can't see me, and muffler deletes. i love the looks i get when the younger crowd sees me get out of it and not some 18 year old vaper hahaha

Why's this thread make me feel so much better about myself. I got my first STI when I was 21 - I'm gonna be 30 this year and I've had 3 STI's in that time. Looking to buy a new '22 if the reveal of this new gen isn't up to my standards. But seeing some 50+ year olds is great for me to continue my "I don't give a **** about your opinion" mind set.

Did my twenties in the Mazda world, got two Subarus (family car and fun car) in the first 12 months of my thirties.

Always fancied a WRX, but also loved the Mazda ...until I didn't. Drove it less and less, and then finally just decided to move it on.

I'm glad I didn't have a turbaru in my twenties though, learnt a lot about cars with the MX-5 - probably would have got myself into too much trouble on (and off) road if I had a WRX back then!

anybody with a low mileage original 2004-2007 and considering selling shoot me a PM. It would go to a great home, collection, and I will pay top dollar over BAT/auction prices.

72, with a 2017 WRX Limited. Guess that puts me on the long tail of the curve compared to this group. Getting hard to find fun cars with stick shifts. All but one of my cars have been sticks. This is my first Subaru. The horrifyingly long list of previous cars were each driven more than 4 years, and a few much longer than that. Just for fun, here's my list

7 Audis: (2) '01 Audi S4 Avants; (2) Audi TT's 2001/2006; '92 Ur-S4; '99 A4; '80 Audi 5000 diesel
3 Nissans: '09 370Z; '92 Sentra SE-R; '84 Nissan Maxima
3 Mazda's: '21 Mazda6; RX8; '94 Miata
3 Saabs: '02 9-5 Aero Wagon; '95 900SE convertible; '74 Saab 99
3 Fords: '92 Taurus SHO; '90 Taurus SHO; '64 F250 truck (with Camper)
2 Mercedes: '01 SLK320 6-spd!; '59 220SE 4-dr
2 VW's: '12 Golf TDI; '73 Karman Ghia
1 '83 Honda Prelude (the first car I ever bought brand new)
1 Alfa Romeo '63 Giulietta Spider (had for 20 years)
1 Lancia '67 Fulvia sedan
1 MG '67 MGB-GT
1 Volvo '64 Volvo 122S (my first car)

Looking back there are certainly some cars here that I wish I'd kept. The Alfa is worth big money today (sigh). None of these were super-fast, although the original Audi S4 was something of a super-sedan at the time. I had a thing for Audis and did many HPDE schools, ice driving course, and the Bondurant school of high performance driving with my daughter. It's certainly hard to find cars today with nearly as much character as these. You should cherish your Subie's cuz they belong with some of the best fun drivers cars I've experienced. I'm certainly still enjoying mine, even as a septagenarian.

This platform has been around for so long this thread is outdated. We need a 40+ or even a 50+ at this point.

Default I'm 42 and still can't afford this thing

08 STI engine rebuild and tons of mods later, my wife is tired of paying for what she calls a go-kart. very simple exterior, rims and tint. But engine and suspension is where all the money goes.

I am 39 years old and have owned a 2016 WRX for the past three years. I have enjoyed my time behind the wheel. I always wanted a WRX since driving a friend's "BugEyed" 02 many years ago. And I will say the newer '16 does seem a bit more refined than the ole BugEye but he had some mods which made his a little more punchy.

I'm 49, 2013 WRX
Started out with just a TP Stage 1 tune, now well the only thing left is the heads/cams (well not really even springs have been upgraded).
