I'm sure they'll eventually phase it out completely since the Arya Stark SUV will use Combo.

So, I really like the Mach E premium and GT and both are very enjoyable to drive. The EV6 wind does feel more planted than the Premium and the overall tech seems to be a step ahead. The EV6 power delivery does feel more linear than the premium but the 0-60 is slightly faster. Both are great EV’s. The EV6 wind with tech pack and homelink is $54,500, similar premium is closer to $60k.

#1 because I'm a fan of tuning forks.

Auto week reporting that Tesla is delaying Cybertruck production to "December 2023".

It wouldn't be so funny if they didn't continously make themselves the butt of "coming later this year" jokes.

Funny you mention that, because I can guarantee you that they are using that age old video game industry trick of "12/31/2023"

"See! It will be out next year!"

Have an order for another one that I'll buy on Monday. Did all this to capture the latest updates. Namely the new Ryzen processor and 15v low voltage battery. The deposit was a bet that ended up (hopefully as it's not done yet) paying off.
Welp, did this on Monday. Offer from a local dealer that I sold our '18 to also came through with the 58k check in hand.

Picked up the latest LR Model 3 at noon that day. Best Model 3 I've had or used by a good bit and also the quietest. Glad to get that done, captured all the latest updates and made some money out of what was most definitely a bet at the time I put that latest deposit down.

It would have been better if it was Cyberpunk vs. the Cybertruck but Cyberpunk won that battle by a landslide.

That will all be taken care of during the release of quarterly paid DLC

Interesting, MotomanTV making the case for the newly updated Kia Niro EV as a budget alternative for those who can't afford a dedicated platform EV like the Ioniq 5 or EV6

Haven't watched the video, but I will say having seen the underpinnings of the current Hyundai GMP platform triplets vs the predecessors, there's practically nothing in common between the two (and that's a good thing). On paper the two might be really close in what you pay as an end consumer, but the dedicated platform is MILES ahead technology and structure wise.

I just don't know how so many people are able to stomach the $50-65k EV asking price, even if the engineering cost is justified and then some. I guess anything is possible with 84/96 month loans.

For the record, I hope people understand that the OEM gains absolutely nothing by the ADM nonsense and that most of us are car people that hate this crap-ola. Honestly, the #1 reason I bought a Tesla Model 3 Performance is because Tesla made it so easy to spend money with them and there wasn't any of that nonsense.

I've found a lot of people will convince themselves to stomach these markups as long as they can spread out the money over insanely long loan terms. God bless our culture of living on credit.

Saw an Ioniq 5 on the street today. Looks good.

Too bad it doesn’t fit 3 kids well in that second row (two boosters and a rear facing convertible). My Land Cruiser will just have to soldier on.

Wild that they wouldn't fit. It's a fairly wide vehicle (still 3" narrower than the Palisade (exterior without mirrors). Are you just counting the lack of center latch anchors as the seats not fitting?

Granted, Maxi-Cosi makes euro-style compact seats.

Some 12V system failures being reported. Is Hyundai going to install a 14V low voltage battery next year?

The Kona EV is supposed to be pretty good in it's own right, it's just not sold nationwide.

Can you fit three car seats in Hyundai IONIQ 5? - YouTube

Granted, Maxi-Cosi makes euro-style compact seats.
I mean, I also technically fit 3 kids + their seats in the back of my Model 3. But it was terrible. Elbow overlap and locating and getting to the buckle for the kid in the booster was an ordeal.

For anyone who wants to see a western English language review on a Chinese EV, Fifth Gear does a review on the Nio ES8. Their first car to be sold in the EU.

Features swappable battery pack.
