Default What's the weakest act of vandalism done to your car?

I thought having the Subaru aftermarket valve stem caps stolen off my car was the weakest thing I'd ever seen. (Certainly the weakest mod I ever made. LOL) I mean c'mon, valve stem caps?

Then today, I go out to my car to get some lunch and I see this.

I didn't even know there was a panel there. Is there something of value behind the panel that they were going for?

What's the lamest, most "why even bother" vandalism that someone has done to your ride? Anyone with stories to share?

This is WEAK!!!

Center caps stolen off of my wrx in the mall parking garage. They were Rota center caps. Who wants those? Cost a good few bucks to find replacements as I thought it looks ghetto without them

I'm guessing whoever grabbed that piece off your bumper has a wrx and is missing theirs

Wow that sucks, especially because your car is white. That's where the tow hook screws in but there's nothing back there. I got the tow hook cover unpainted for my car (DGM) when I did the 11-14 bumper swap and I don't know if I'm gonna paint it. You can barely notice it on my car, but with the white it will definitely stick out. It can probably be painted for cheap enough.

Here is a fastWRX link which is where I got mine. Might be able to get it from Subaru for cheaper but I was ordering my Morimoto fog kit through them anyway.

Yep, and a white one nonetheless. I did see a thread on iwsti or whatever it is that mentioned the possibility of the covers falling off. Are you sure it was on the car when you got to work that morning?

Not on my Subaru, but I had an AT shift lever release cover stolen while being serviced at a Honda dealer long time ago. I made a stink to the service manager as he denied it was his team taking it. He did order a new part, but he did not even say sorry it happened or anything like that. Another reason why I hate Hondas and their dealerships.

No it was just the AT release cover.. it's like a tiny plastic piece but without it there is a gaping hole in the shifter area. Very annoying thing they took.

Went to a car show in Vermont with my '66 Mustang, someone stole the original radiator cap. Didn't notice until 20 miles of highway driving when things got hot, real hot! Thanks A$$hole, I would of bought you one if that meant me getting home before midnight, and spending 200.00 on a tow!

Went on one date with a girl I met online. She said she was single. Five days later some dude went to town on my WRX in my driveway while I slept. Keyed the crap out of the car. Drew a dick and balls on the hood, wrote SMALL PENN on the driver's side doors, LOL on the quarter panel, I CANT on the rear hatch, pissed all over it, and then smashed the rear hatch and window with a sledgehammer.

I had footage of her car stopping in front of my house ten minutes before the dude came back and smashed up the car. Cops tracked her down and interviewed her. She denied involvement and they couldn't press charges because her plates didn't show up on the footage.

Good times.

WOW.

Not sure if this counts as "vandalism", but years back when I had Z32 300zx, I was parked somewhere with the tops off and someone used my car as a trashcan.

I think they had just been to the movies or something, because there was an unfinished beverage cup (thankfully water as I recall) and some other wrappers/boxes thrown onto my seat, lol.

outside of my kids trying to "wash" my car in my garage and constantly going around my car with wet hands (live in dusty area so very noticeable) someone tried stealing the hubcaps off my civic, they were bolted on so they just left em all jacked up.

"friend" had his car vandalized where they stole 3 wheels, his cold air intake, fuse box cover, power steering lines, and a few other items that made it look like someone else had a same model accord.

That happened to my friend, he let her drive his truck and the ex saw her in it.

Cool Lighter to the headlight cover

Just got this impreza and someone had taken a lighter and melted the area right in front of the high beam on one side. Not sure if it happened before I got it and I missed it on inspection or after. For what it is worth I currently live in Ecuador and people have a habit of honking as soon as the light turns green and any other possible reason. I slow for a second and hold my palm upraised as though I don't understand what the honk is about... .

Well, $18 to Subaru for the replacement tow hook cover which came in black.

Was going to get it painted white, but decided to "modify" it instead with a Rising Sun Decal. Not sure that I like it, but pretty sure it won't get picked again. LOL.
