My tuner/builder was highly skeptical of these results but I trust Chris to do the experiments correctly without adding variables - so it's not a cut and dry subject, there is room for research and debate.

May i see a reference? Is there a video or a forum of his analysis? A commentary? A link?

Message Killer B Motorsports on here if you want the rundown. All I can offer regarding evidence is the fact that Killer B sells fumoto valves on their site, but doesn't sell magnetic plugs. This is no accident - they actively decided against selling plugs after their testing. |

Why? I can only speculate. I'll call my theory the 'paperclips on a magnet' theory, lol. The short of it is, we'd love to stand behind and make money selling products that offer a benefit to our customers. The claims of magnet plugs were not what our testing revealed. |

I have these on all my Subs cars. Have modified engines with headers, KillerB oil pan, and makes doing everything easier. Need to always have good Skid-Pan for extra protection, and also some extra hose to drain the oil so that no drips on Header wrap.
Only Fumoto Valves are recommended. |

I’ve heard good things about them but I rather spend the money on a magnetic drain plug for extra security. Currently running the Dimple Magnetic drain plug and that magnet is STRONG as hell.

There is no extra security in a magnetic drain plug even if it is stronger than Zeus himself as anything found on the plug would be captured in the oil filter with or without the presence of an magnet. Tribology is a neat topic. But you are beyond your knowledge base. I run Walmart SuperTech synthetic oil and whatever filter is on sale and my oil changes, every 5000 miles, run ~$22. My WRX is at 320,000 miles. Oil stuff does not matter as much as people think it does. Change it. Go about your life. Now if you don't believe me, that's terrific. Prove me wrong. Order 2 test kits from https://www.blackstone-labs.com/prod...ree-test-kits/ and do a test using the same oil, same filter, same mileage with and without a magnetic drain plug. When you post the results, PM me here and I'll paypal you $30 to show I put my money where my fat mouth is. |
