Arashi td05h 18g 8cm Dyno Results!!! (Every conceivable sup. mod)
Alright so I wanted a turbo that spooled quick, but gave a bit more punch and carried power a little further than stock. I had settled on a TD05H 18g with 8cm hot side. The thinking being the td05 would spool quickly and the 8cm would help carry the power into the higher RPMs. I made the decision to jump on one these Arashi turbos when ebay had a %15 off coupon. The turbo is an TD05H 18G 8cm. It was $719 shipped on eBay before the discount. Ebay capped the discount to $100 so I paid $619 shipped, then I get $30 back once I send an installed picture to Arashi. So in the end this turbo is $589 shipped BRAND NEW.
My car is a 2008 STi and the build includes the following: Arashi TD05H 18g 8cm Built Block -CP 99.75mm Piston (SC7422) -Skunk2 Alpha Series Forged H Beam Rods (306-12-1000) -OEM Nitrated STi Crank -King Race Bearings TGV Deletes ID1000 Injectors Torque Solutions TMIC AEM Intake Perrin Inlet CNT Equal Length Headers Grimmspeed Uppipe Unknown Catted DP and SPT Exhaust COBB Acessport V3 I think that is everything. Once I got the block broken in I brought it to my local tuner, Baxley's Speed Shop in Windham Maine, who has a new MD-AWD-1100 Mustang Dyno. I let him work his magic and by the end of it she was putting down 336whp/336wtq at 21.5psi! I wanted low 300's on his Mustang, seeing how they generally read lower than most. I was very happy to see 336/336 and he was thoroughly impressed with the turbo. We are both curious to see how it holds up in the long run. Here is the car on the Dyno and a graph print out: https://imgur.com/gallery/i4oMQ7h And here is the turbo unboxing from a month ago: https://imgur.com/gallery/D7wfWFq

I'm debating on whether to purchase one of these turbos. I'm looking to get a TD06SL2-20G-8cm for my 09 wrx. How's your Turbo holding up?

No problems what so ever. I also posted on some big facebook groups about this turbo and had dozens of people chime in about using them with no problems. Local tuner has even ordered a few for his customers now after tuning mine and being impressed.

Thanks bro I'm going to pull the trigger on the Turbo. The turbo I want is going for 683 right now, for what I've heard you can't go wrong with them especially on that price range. |

The car's still running great last I heard, I sold it back in late 2019. But the shop who did the initial tuning, and at the time had never heard of Arashi, has now installed and tuned tons of them. Arashi sent their sales manager a plaque acknowledging their sales. And there have been nothing but good feedback with their turbos.
