Hey guys, though I haven't used the comfort version, I would imagine the NVH increase would be negligible at best. As I stated in my original post, the NVH increase I felt was minimal, and for the gain was quite worth it. If you're on the fence about it, I would suggest just purchasing the race for the better feel--that's just my opinion

And looking back over the years, I probably would not have bothered with either of these mods. |

I just removed my bushing after a couple months of going crazy from the huge increase in nvh. Totally not worth it and definitely not recommended.

I actually enjoy mine. I regret the Whiteline Rear Positive traction bushing though. lots of damn vibration in the seats at certain mphs. I love my group n engine mounts and rallitek 4eat tranny bushing. Pitch stop mount I'm meh on. that was not worth it either.

RalliTEK has two different versions of our insert. One is soft for every day driving, and the second is hard for track use. The hard version can also be used for ever day street cars, but be aware that it will be a little noiser than our softer version. http://www.rallitek.com/RalliTEK-4EA...-Insert/p-4634 |

I started running the soft version of the 4eat bushing at 32k. I liked the improved feel of the transmission at work. Overall for the price it's worth getting for higher mileage 4eats I wouldn't get the hard/race version of this bushing if this is your daily driver.

Just curious when you do the trans mount, are there bushings on the cross member that need to be switched like on the manuals?

92xScott - for the Impreza there isn't anything that you need to remove. This may be different with your 92x, but I doubt it. Simply press it in and you're done.

What kind of engine mount could I use with this insert? I just got the insert for my Saabaru. And was thinking of some urethane engine mounts too. Forgot to mention, I picked up the race (hard) version

Just got the insert in. Now on to the engine mounts. Could I get away with the beatrush mounts? Or would that be too much for the trans mount insert?

The difference between the soft version and the hard version is small in comparison. If you're on the fence about it we'd recommend the soft. You'll get the maximum benefit for the least amount of NVH. -Ben @ PREracing/RalliTEK

I just installed any new transmission mount and the hard insert in my 02 wrx with 208 k miles on body and it feels amazing. It's like a nascar, there's the feel of the transmission when i take off hard and the increase loudness. Some times it feels like I'm going faster than the actual speed of the car. The shifts are also smoother and more efficient. Im happy with hard Rallitek insert.

im about to put one in, but im also replacing my 15yr old trans mount with a new oem one. im also doing an IPT built trans.
my results might be vastly different due to the modifications of my car, but none-the-less, i will share my results. it's the "hard" bushing. |

I installed the hard version with a new 4EAT trans mount on my 09 FXT. It gets quite loud when you are on the throttle, more than I anticipated. I'm considering trying out the soft version and selling the one I decide to not use.
I also installed new Group N engine mounts and a pitch stop mount with poly bushings (Superpro). These definitely factored into the NVH but to what effect I don't know. |
