Just to make sure that we are all speaking the same language here, are we saying that the struts from 2009-2013 Foresters (SH models) will fit on 2012+ Impreza 2.0s (GP models)?
Not challenging anyone, just trying to keep from spreading any potential misinformation... |

I know I saw somewhere that someone had tried this, and it wasn't quite so simple as just swapping struts.
If I were to try it though, I'd go with XT's. |

Just curious, but why? I mean, you could go the cheapest route and get strut spacers. Or you could just put the XV struts on. And for far, both have been done to the 12+ impreza. I suppose this is cheaper than the XV struts but more expensive than the spacer.

Check XV Forum's classifieds. There was a set of xv struts on there iirc.

my wife wants more ground clearance, we were waiting forever for the XV to come out, but i grew less and less impressed with it so i just decided on the impreza. she loves it and i love my outback 1000x more. anyway, if i can find some kid who just inheretid an '09 forester and wants to slam it, hopefully we can trade straight up instead of me buying brand new struts.
im a dumb ass and wanted my outback to not handle like a river barge anymore so i got 235/55/17 tires. they did the trick and would be perfect on the impreza as it used almost exclusively on pavement. now i want A/T tires on the outback and im thinking about going down to 16s. but i wonder if i should just get strut spacers and wheel spacers. out of curiosity and boredom i swapped the wheels between my two subarus i kinda think gunmetal wheels look better on my outback |

How are you liking the RockBlox?? They holding up well?
I STILL havent done anything approaching off-roading but they are pretty nice and they really give it a nice look. Also, I hear a LOT less road debris being flung up like when on loose gravel. |

Spelling aside, those RA's look identical to my RB's...
I thought yours were RB's as I can't see a Rally Armor logo on them. Well nevermind then. My bad. FWIW I havent ripped mine off yet. Theyve scraped lots of stuff, but not anything that would rip them away. |

well, my outback has no business having mudflaps, i do a little more than rallycross and stuff like that. they looked cool, but i got so tired off fixing them, i had to bolt down my fender liners and fender flares so they would quit ripping off as well. where i take that car, most people i know with jeeps wouldn't dare go. with the impreza, im not allowed to get any scratches on it.

Sorry to bring up this old thread, but were you able to find out what suspension is a direct swap with our GP imprezas? Is it really the SH forester?

That wheel/tire combo make the car look about 1000% better - any sacrifice in perf/handling?
What exact size are they? |
