It's a tourist attraction, some people there are hitting it hard and some are just daily driving on it. You can learn on your own, follow a buddy, or have somebody shotgun with you. Those are the ways I have learned! Lots of people like I did have the wrong mentality of the track. It's a race track but the times when it's open to the public it's considered a toll road. There are "speed limits" in certain area and insurance companies cover you. I know at least usaa covers. Don't get me wrong it's fast paced and adrenaline pumping but it's at your level of speed you want.

Every bit counts bro. We just want you to join us next trip, that's all. Can we meet up sometime and you help me roll my fenders? You did great on yours. You can barely tell they were rolled.

Haha, not yet! As soon as I roll my fenders I should be fine. It was the fender trim cutting the wheel.

I should be heading over to Germany next year. Not sure where I will be stationed and as it sits now I will be bringing my USDM swapped RSTi over with me. Looking at making it wider while I'm over there. I priced out the HT Autos kit and a place that will do the install. Rather decent pricing but unsure how the taxes will work over there for this. Both HT Autos shop and the CCR body shop are in the UK. I look forward to the Nurburgring and traveling and everything.

My car is built for road course in the states, not saying its the same thing, and I'm planing to push the car a little without an instructor getting angry at my confidence.

Quick question I was wondering how the emissions were in Germany? Right now I have a catless down pipe and looking to get a high flow cat down pipe for if emissions are needed. Car is a 99 RS, ECU is 2002 WRX, thanks for any help.

No emissions. Just noise level of 95db max. Everyone here runs catless.

Save the money for gas and tires

Thanks, right now I want a turbo upgrade and TMIC upgrade. I was running E85 in CO but I hear they don't have a lot of that in Germany, is this true? I would like to know so I can get a low boost for DD and a higher boost for track or when I just feel like having more power. I would guess I'd need new maps for the fuel in Europe when I get there any way.

Do they support COBB AcessPort over there? If not looks like I'll be needing EMU.

Depends where u get stationed. Here in vilseck/graf area there is 1 e85 pump i know of and is just over a hour drive one way to it. But our super plus fuel is rated to 93 octane. Stephen from ia performance always said he loved our fuel while tuning the cars.

IMHO, I would do as brranger advised you of doing. Anything to do with installs such as upgrades for the motor, DC Autoservice is a respected shop that tailors to our subaru needs. They also work with the Cobb AP engine management. They're located in graf/vilseck area.

Are you AF? Army? You should switch to 93oct if you plan on driving/sight seeing in your suby. My car is loud as hell, I have been given two tickets for my exhaust by polizai (sp), I had to go to legal, then inspection. I've heard both 95db and 98db. My car is at 97db, and was told I was good, so both tickets were dismissed.

Just a heads up also, if you plan on stopping by any subaru dealerships in germany, plan on this. I've been to six dealerships, all stated that they won't touch USspec subarus, and that if you needed work done, they could do it, but there would be no warranty, no vat, and cash only. Screw that. I did need a tail light bulb and just that one bulb was 18euro.

oh and one more thing, i got an assignment to ft. carson.

We must be doing a 1 for 1 swap then. I am stationed at Carson currently on deployment though. I am Army and you will like it at Carson.

Check out www.AWDPirates.net that is a Colorado and south WY forum for any AWD/4x4 vehicle. Mainly Subarus, and EVOs. My car is no where near being under warranty let alone anything I've ever seen before. I can't wait to get parts that actually fit my chassis. I've been doing all the work myself on my Subarus since 2008 when I bought my first 2 Subarus. I'm confident in my abilities on working on my own car since it sort of is my only option.

Colorado's highest octane is 91. and there are plenty of E85 stations around. I suggest you check out Harvey (TheBoostCreep Ltd.) he's on facebook and has a web page where my car that I bought off him is featured. I recommend him for tuning even though his prices seem a bit high you will get what you pay for.

Check out the Bishop's Castle very cool hand crafted and hand built Castle. Go on cruises with the Pirates as they know all the good roads. If you like getting your Subaru dirty check out www.DirtyImpreza.com/forums where they do annual cruises in the Spring and Fall. Great community in CO for car enthusiasts of all kinds. Plenty to do there you will not be disappointed.

Well long post is long I'm excited to get to Germany and get my Impreza decked out like a 22B.

Current engine bay:

Plans are Blouch Dom 1.5 XTR and an Extreme Turbo Systems TMIC. I should be over the 400HP mark on 93 octane at a lower altitude.

^that, is sweet. Funny you mentioned awdpirates, I'm francoSTi on there. I've heard nothing but good things about Ft. Carson. The suby guys here will take care of you, the only issue is, depending where you're going to be stationed at, is the drive. You'll definitely love the german roads, all the twistys, the autobahn, and traveling in general.
