Default Has anyone successfully read a 2007 2.5i NA Ecu?

I have tried 3 different cables no matter what i cannot get the ecu to read.
all i get is this no matter the cable (tried generic tactrix and ftdi cable)

contacted Tactrix direct, they stated it should work but cannot gaurantee. also if it does not they stated "....we do not do returns and that in the current market you should be able to sell it" Hahaaa!

2007 2.5i Impreza Auto
green connector connected.

Actually Yes, to make a slight idle adjustment, ive reflashed an 07 2.5i hatchback before.

What was weird though was that I had to select an odd-ball year for the ECU selector, one you wouldnt initially guess. I vaguely remember it being like "STI 07+" or something like that, and it was able to recognize the ECU, pull and flash the map no issue. Play around with ECUflash's selector until it does a successful read and/or test write ( always test write first!) of the map.

File > Options > (scroll down, all the way down) and select SSMk1 for CAN seed key algorithm

Ecu > Select vehicle type > pick the sti05 / sh7058 / 1024k type

despite being a year with CAN, it doesn't use the standard "subaru CAN" communications for whatever reason when flashing (read/write)
