Tatrix OP1.3 not recognized
I just bought a new genuine 1.3 tactrix cable. The problem im having is that whenever I plug it into my computer, i get “USB Device not recognized: the last USB device you connected to thisis computer malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it” as an error. I have the latest version of ecuflash and the tactrix drivers from tactrix.com downloaded. I also tried erasing them and downloading 1.3 specific drivers from evoscan with no luck.
Opening up device manager i see "device descriptor request failed" and a code 43 in device status. I tried manually installing the drivers from my system32 folder but still doesnt work Im wondering if anyones had the same problem before because im starting to this the cable is defective. Also if anyone know a direct phone number or email for evoscan support, ill take that too

In order to use the older version of tactrix I believe you need ecuflash 1.29, the latest ecuflash is not compatible with the older tactrix, I know that for a fact.

I tried using ecuflash 1.29 and its drivers but still get a "usb device malfunctioned" message when I plug the tactrix into my pc. BTW this is without even plugging in the OBDII port into the car, just the pc connection alone. Is that a sign of a DOA tactrix cable?

I have purchased a counterfeit openport 2.0 for less than $50. Tomorrow I will test it out to see if it works. Might be a cheap solution for ya unless you can get a free replacement. I purchased it based on reviews and curiosity, might use it strictly for logging, or if I do end up using it for flashing I will always test flash before writing which I always do anyway.

The Openport 2.0 from Newegg are all junk. I bought 4 of them, and of the 4, only one lasted longer than 3 days.
I got lucky and picked up a 1.3u from Australia, and it has worked WONDERS for me. I REALLY hate the 2.0, and really wish I had never even tried them. |

The one I purchased was from aliexpress. I tried reading/writing/logging it works so far. Now just gotta keep using it to see how long it lasts, fingers crossed!
