Default 2015+ WRX Dyno Thread

So im gonna try to compile all the WHP dyno numbers in this thread for the Fa20dit motors. Please list mods, fuel used, boost levels and what type of tune you are running along with your dyno sheet

Eventually I'd like turbo upgrade dyno #'s in here when the turbo upgrades become available.

Cobbs v110 tune only did 239/268???? Thats dissapointing. I hope the latest version does better than that since I'm ordering an AP tonight. The Bren numbers look great though at 292WHP/310WTQ. These new motors seems to have a ton of headroom for improvement on just the stock turbo.

Yea, there are quite a few in PPB on here. Pretty solid numbers. I'll have an ETS DP/Intake/E85 in the next couple months .

You wouldn't have happened to have done a dyno run without the intake? I am trying to decide if its worth getting a Mishimoto intake or just stick with a full turbo back.

Just got my car e-tuned by BrenTuning. Very quick turn around service if you send in your logs quick. Car now feels incredibly smooth and I am getting close to 30mpg with spirited driving on my back roads. Haven't gotten it on a dyno yet but this tune definitely delivers more power than Cobbs stage 1 tune. Nothing but good things to say about BrenTuning.

Mods:
Uhhhhhhhhhh Stock.

No i don't,I put all the parts on at the same time then tuned it. Honestly doubt it gained much power with it. But the sound alone is amazing

When i install a turbo kit,I will keep the mishimoto box and run a custom intake pipe with it,That is one of the main reasons i bought it. If money isn't tight,I would buy it personally. Anything is better then the OEM garbage.

From what I inderstand the oem intake is horrible . I have the same plan as Karb0n though. Im going to get thr mishimoto intake and keep the box for when I turbo swap

Please post this when you get a sec. You plan on taking it to the track? If so, please post those results as well!

These are some incredible gains from tunes. It's pretty obvious Subaru neutered their stock FA20DIT map on the 2015 WRX so that they could market the S4 with exactly the same internals but with its inner beast unleashed at closer to 300 whp/tq.

The WRX/S4 is going to be released CVT only (and in Japan at that), but if tunes for that emerge I'd be curious to see if the gains from tuning would land it exactly the same place where the tuned WRX lands. Gotta love marketing.

USDM and JDM marketing strategy is very, very different. In Japan, the WRX is essentially marketed as the "luxury" car and the STi the "bare bones" more hardcore car. They are not on different power tiers like they are in the US and other markets. But to your point, the USDM car is certainly de-tuned. Also, its important to note that Premium gas in Japan could be as high as 100 RON, or 96 AKI (US spec).

Yeppppp, tuner was pretty confident he could get me up to 300 whp without any supporting mods just a tune.
