if they can sell these sti monsters for $32k, the rex is as good as gone. after seeing those specs i can hardly imagine paying an extra $6-8k for that over a wrx. we got ripped off.

Is there going to be many options? I think not - I am still waiting for the MSRP in Canada.... and if it's below $50K CDN, screw the RX8 - beg, borrow, steal, whatever... get me the money for this car!!! (ok, I was joking about the stealing part)

Also consider just how many they plan on selling. I'll assume they're gonna keep it pretty low and that the waiting lists will be overfilled for a LONG time.

Wait why is this such a bad deal on the wrxs. They are only 23k and you could so easily have a much much sweeter car is you invested that extra 10k into modifications. Think on what you could make a wrx do with 10k.

Just called my local and distant dealer (one in Albany CA. and the other in San Diego, CA.) Both basically said they will only be getting 2 with a national allotment of 300 for all dealers. Looks like the purchase line for the STI is at least 12 long at both dealers. I guess if you have the $$$ you will still have to wait. Do you really want it bad enough to pay the markup?

Like you couldn't get an 6 speed and the performance mods to give you a better suspension and more horsepower.

But keep in mind...

The STICKER price for a WRX is somewhere in the $25-26k range. When a dealer says $32k... $6k increase in price for 73 hp and lots of other crap...I think that's a steal.

Bigger Engine.
HID Lights
Ground Effects
Cool Instrument Panel...and much much more...

Well worth $6k or even $8k

The difficulty is going to be negotiating the price down to something more reasonable. I paid $23k for my wagon. It'd be nice if we could negotiate the STi to $30k-$31k.

Good luck everyone!

Not for that money, and not with a warranty.
