The lady(model) standing around handing out booklets would not even entertain the notion of opening it for me.....she said "No one is allowed to touch that car...not even us" I then asked if she could close it all the way so it would look good in the pics....she replied"Didnt you hear me....no one touches that car, now stop pestering me!" she was a nasty woman....not even cute liek most autoshow models are

As much as I love the pictures it is making browsing the board impossible today.

Well I'm one more user logging off since I cant get pages to load anymore.

All I wanted to do is browse for something to BUY in the VENDOR forums.

Those pics are hosted on a complety seperate server from the forums... so your internet connection must be having trouble, because it has nothing to do with those pictures.

Man, what a total beotch!
I guess she doesn't work for Subaru. I would have asked, "who here can touch the car and show me under the hood than."
Looks like someone was already looking under the hood by the way the hood was already popped up.

Aw, cut her some slack.... She was trying to do her job, even if she didn't do it in the best manner possible. If she was under strict orders not to touch the car, she probably could have gotten herself yelled at or fired for messing around with the hood. Besides, if she had made an exception to one person and closed the hood, you know 5 seconds later someone else would have asked her to open the hood so they can see the engine.

And that was a very mean-spirited comment BTW. How would you who deign to judge women based upon their physical appearance like if someone made mean remarks about you because of the way you look?

Anyhow, back on track.... Thanks much for the pics.

Dude, she didn't show you the engine because there isn't any. Nothing but a fake IC under the hoodscoop.

Get it through your thick skulls. The 2.5L Turbo engine does not friggin exist!!! Japan has strict displacement penalties for over 2.0L of displacement! The 2.5 L engine is a friggin myth for cryin' out loud. Why would they abandon their time tested and well refined 2.0L? Furthermore, an engine larger than the 2.0 will invalidate homologation requirements!

The only turboe'd compact car we'll see here stateside with a displacement over 2.0L is the SRT-4. Now that baby roasts some serious ass.

so your telling me that subaru of america is lying to us when they announced it would be a 2.5? your telling me that subaru of japan is lying to us when all their top execs were at detroit and were in attendance when the SoA top dog gave his speech announcing it was a 2.5?
