Default Lost accessport

So my buddy lost his 1st accessport after he had installed it to his car. Lord knows what actually happened to it. He bought a second one and installed it over the original one he had because he did an upgrade and needed a new map. He recently found the first accessport and is trying to get rid of it.

My questions are, is the original accessport shot (has to get relicensed according to Cobb)

Or can he uninstall the second accessport and then unmarry the first accessport to allow it to be sold?

I’m new and I can’t find an answer anywhere because I’m not sure anyone has come across this issue before. I have a 2018 STi and I want the accessport to be my first mod. Dipping my toe in as they would say.

Thank you for any insight!

I would try to uninstall the new one and then uninstall the original one. I know when you install it save the map that’s currently in the ecu in that case it should be the map from the original ap. That option is free and free is always best to try first.

Thank you we will give that a shot. I will report back just in case it happens to work.
