Have a few active projects going.
1994 Miata M-edition, bought about 6 years ago. Had a turbo/megasquirt in it within a few months. Cleaned up some things, repainted the bumper, fixed some rust, replaced worn parts. I had plans to pull the motor and put forged rods, pistons and a bigger turbo on it this winter but I decided to hold off for a year so I can find a good machine shop and piece together the rest of the parts on a more relaxed schedule. Then I bought this thing. 1991 Nissan 240sx, owned by a friend of mine, sat in his backyard for a few years. It was rough, had no engine, trans, diff wasn't installed, brakes were hanging, no interior. It was once his drift car with a ka-t but he put that drivetrain into a convertible 240. It was rough, but $150. So my first car, a 1988 mustang I had since 2000, had developed some severe strut tower rot so I decided to put the drivetrain into the 240. Outdated photo. I have since put on a accufab throttle body, converted to mass air and cleaned things up a bit. Motor also has trick flow 170 heads. Cleaned the exterior up alot and turned it into a drift car again. And then the most recent project. 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser - locking diffs, 4.5L inline 6, 230,000 miles, $1400 A bit rough but I'm making it mechanically sound before making it a bit more off road spec. So far really enjoying it. |

I'm working on a tin can. We do not need pictures. I have ruined it. It's been fun. I intend to ruin it more.

You should bob the trunk down 16 or so inches. Thing looks like a longbed pickup! Just run a straight line of tape across the whole mess just behind the end of the wheel wells and another 2" forward of the turndown of the trunk lid and saw off everything in between. Doesn't look like it would take much to blend across the splice when you weld it back up

TRD Supercharger and URD fuel kit:
2.2L build (back and forth on turbos, but decided to just stick with a stock turbo for quickest spool--plus I'm going for longevity on this one...maybe get another 200,000 miles out of her): Almost done--just want to put on an external waste gate so she can safely push a few more psi: Latest project: Was originally thinking about turning her into a coupe: But am probably just going to give her a "worn" paint/patina look to hide the surface issues and not worry about future scratches, etc. She'll be my beater. |

BMWs and muscle cars. I like.
Here's my current project. It's really a DD but any 15+ year old BMW qualifies as a project. As bought two years ago: Been fixing a lot of little stuff. New clutch/flywheel and a full set of gaskets/VANOS rebuild and cooling system going in over the next month. Bought this to haul drywall and other junk for a condo remodel and will sell it soon. There are zero parts for a Ford Torino wagon, at least the body specific stuff like window seals and the like. Makes a restoration either way too expensive or impossible. It's a cool car, though and I love driving it. Get stopped all the time by people that had one or something similar. |

There are some seriously impressive projects. Then there are the near stock blue BMWs.

Seriously. I've been getting the new bicycle bug x2 lately, MTB is 12 years old and the roadie is a '95 model, but I've decide to repress that and just put money towards a donor ///M car instead. |

Current projects are:
1968 Saab Sonett V4 It was our former autox/hillclimb car, been in the family for many years. I've actually been slowing taking the "racecar" out of it, so it is more enjoyable to drive. I still need to finish up the interior, as a few pieces were missing when I got the car. But it is coming along. After about six months of ownership, I pulled the engine/trans to clean up the engine bay: The other project I'm working on is a 1971 DKW 125 Cafe Racer: |

I am trying to talk the missus into a gmt 800 rcsb 2wd for towing and home improvement stuff and to be a racetruck on the side. Just want to do a on3 kit with the 88mm slap the transbraked 4l80 I have sitting in the garage in it and go for roughly 600 wheel until I decide to build a motor.

I've been eyeing the 70mm On3 kit. I'm not shooting for more than 600hp. I'm just not sure if I can trust the chinese turbo. I've heard if you stick to the most common models that they seem to work OK. Hell, Trick Performance uses the same cheap turbos. What have you heard? |
