If you're going Atlas start with the CAL.

I have a Harris that was a freebee. For free it's nice. Albeit, at the moment it's being used to prop up a heat lamp for a hedgehog.

I have a Harris on my EBR and it's fine but if I needed a new one I'd go Atlas all the way.

I have a few Harris and they are top notch. Would place the magpul bipod at about the same quality wise. Both definitely better than the $30 Amazon Caldwell specials. I haven't used Atlas yet..

Switched to Atlas Bt46 from a Harris 6-9. Both are proven designs. The Atlas takes more time to stow/deploy and was 3x the cost of the Harris. I like the look of the Atlas on a modern rifle and the front or back adjustment. That's about it for me. I'll keep the Harris forever.

Thinking about getting an AR style 22LR for cheap fun at the range.
Both Colt and S&W make M4 versions in 22LR that run $350 or so. Alternatively, was also looking at a GSG-5 in 22LR. It looks like it would be loads of run on a training course, but don't have any here. And I generally enjoy longer distance targets anyway. So probably not what I want to spend my money on there. Any other AR style 22LR I should check out in that price range strictly for weekend range/target use? |

And it probably looks a lot less ridiculous loading 22LR rounds into an MP5-sized mag than it does loading 22LR into a ridiculously oversized (for 22LR) M4 mag. |

I dunno, they are all a bit oversized, no? With a Ruger takedown with 25 round mags... |

Can anyone afford to be a 5.7 fan right now?
