Nissan is really milking this model aren't they? It's been out since late 2013, 6 years on and very few/minimal changes. Haven't seen any test mules or any concepts of what the next iteration is going to be, if any. Come to think of it, same goes for the Lexus IS. In the mean time, zee Germans have continued their assault on the 3er, C class and A4

Yup, agreed. Nissan/Infiniti are looking nearly as slow to revise/update their platforms as Subaru.

I really hope the reason Nissan / Infiniti have not released a vehicle worth a damn is because they have been silently investing all that money into next gen tech (ev). I hope they don't go the way or Mitsubishi...

That's pretty hopeful. It appears they simply have been run extremely poorly and are going to have difficulties going forward. Outside of the long on the tooth GTR they don't sell anything remotely close to best in class as their product offerings are dated and mediocre at best.

Yeah, these are pretty great cars. They join the Genesis lineup in the odd category for me where I probably wouldn't even consider them new, but would snap one up in a heartbeat when the right amount of depreciation sets in.

And what chassis is that motor residing in? Aesthetics and underpinnings are the same. But good eye brah, you caught me.

They are asking too much money. 60k for this is pretty crazy. Then again, prices for everything have gone crazy.

I'd much rather have one of these over a brand new $35k Legacy. They aren't great luxury cars by any means, but for the slightly nicer than a Camry market, they are quite a good value after the first idiot buys it. |

^ This is true. They get considered a turd because they aspire to compete with MB, BMW, etc. So of course they fall short, but car for car, they are better than a lot of cars out there. I have a 2008 G37 that I picked up a couple years old, with 35K on it, for way less than 1/2. Car for car, it's a much better car than either of my Subarus: bugeye WRX with a ej207 engine/trans swap, and a 2008 Outback XT 5MT Limited (essentially a LGT wagon). The most troublesome car of the bunch by far is the Outback. I supercharged the G37 65K ago, and it hasn't missed a beat. I find the interior materials either as bad or better than the Outback, which is the top of the range for Subaru in 2008, and the Infiniti doesn't squeak and rattle nearly as badly as either Subaru.
That said, I wouldn't touch one of the new ones. They have a really good engine, but I wouldn't touch the steering. and they don't offer a manual anymore. I rented a new one once, and it was fine, kind of like the highest optioned Accord, but with RWD. |

Yep, a high trim Accord with RWD is a good comparison. They price them new to compete with BMWs, but they don't come anywhere near close. I'm actually considering one for a commuter alongside some other lightly used semi-premium brand cars just because you get A LOT of car for what the used ones cost. Either that or a new Mazda3.
