3.28.19 UPDATE

Here are a few pics of the enclosure shot with primer in and out of the vehicle. This is the original (plug) that will be used to make the molds. The actual enclosure will be covered in matching trunk liner carpet.

The baffle (MDF mounting ring) will be bonded into the enclosure during the layup process all as one, it's shown here separately but put in place to give you an idea of the finished design/look. The production enclosure's baffle will be recessed .75 inches giving the subwoofer a more "flush" mount vs. the standard surface mounting where it stick out more.

The backside shown here - recessed terminal cup mounting & the bottom flat panel has grooves/channels for added strength

That looks great! Do you know what the volume of that design would be?

Thanks! It's hard to know exactly since this is the prototype and the inside isn't completely hollow due to the build construction but I was shooting for the .75 cubic feet area. With the depth being pretty good right there in that corner I'm guessing it may be a bit bigger all said and done. I originally had the back corner (towards the rear seat) following the trunk panel lines but had to keep cutting it back as it was just too big.

Once we have the mold made and the first production parts are available I'll be able to calculate an accurate internal airspace as well as finished weight.

Sorry for the lack of updates, our fiberglass contractor had to take some down time with the whole Covid-19 crisis but is just getting back to tackling some projects now.

We'll be doing a "Pre-Order" sale for the new Subaru model soon while the mold is being built. Just waiting to get caught up on some of our other enclosure orders first for customers. I'll post the details here soon!

Not yet no, with our fiberglass contractor having to shut down for a while with the whole Covid crisis everything is still on hold for a bit. Playing catch up on other customer's projects and our normal enclosure production as well.

If anybody would like to be put on the list for updates just shoot me an email at [email protected] it's a bit easier to keep track of everyone via email.

Thread hasn’t been updated in a while but Whoa this is wild. Just recently added a new stereo + front and rear speakers on my 17 wrx.

Still need a sub and the box looks great. Can this be paint matched with said material it’s made out of? Most boxes are way too clunky!

We have done some painted ones in the past but for custom builds only as it takes some more finishing work in the vehicle to get the lines just right as well as extra costs for the prep and paint work compared to the carpet.

I'd be interested in one for a 10" sub.

I'm interested in a 10" box if you are selling. How much?

I'm interested in a 10" version as well. I'm somewhat concerned with the sound quality vs rear or front firing, have you done any (even ear) testing with this?

Also curious on price?

Sorry guys but the OP is no longer a vendor here and hasn't been on the site for over a year.
