Default Need help with 13-15 frs brz for gf

My gf is looking to purchase a early year frs or brz. I'm a audi evo guy and every frs or brz on craigslist has had a engine replaced. Is it smart to buy one before the engines been replaced or after? Or should I just stay away? That is for any info.

Looking for 2015 for 8-13k depending on year and mileage. Only manual. What are the flaws? Lookouts etc. Thanks all!

I would avoid the 2013 BRZs. The valve spring recall is active, but it seems like the issue doesn't exist with 2014 and newer models.
