Just did my first detail..
Used the two bucket method, didn't clay as I'm not planning on polishing till the spring. Finished with Hydro2, first time using it. Easy to apply and looks great. Also trying angel wax H2Go for the first time on the glass. Have some car pro peerl for the tires but didn't get a chance to apply. What y'all think?

Looks great. I started using speed clay aka Clay 2.0 by Mother's. It is super easy to use and effortless. Just use with rinse water while you wash off the shampoo and no more kneading.

These cars so good looking I use a power washer and a good quality concentrated soap in a foam cannon (attached to the power washer). The best part of this method is there is little to no contact of cleaning rags with the paint. My STI is black and there are zero swirl marks on the paint which cannot be avoided with any cleaning rags. The power washer cleans the wheels with very little effort as well. When the car is totally clean, I finish off by drying it with a Blaster Sidekick. Again, nothing touches the paint and the leftover water (in the nooks and crannies) is removed so it doesn't run and spot the clean car.

It was tough not going with WRB on my 2019 STi but after having a red car (the first color other than white or silver for me), I wanted to standout less in traffic, especially if I had the big wing.

I love how easy Hydr02 is! Make sure you hit it with a strong spray to activate it.
If you think that looks good, check out some of the real coatings and other materials CarPro offers. Love Perl too. I use it 1:5 for interiors, 1:3 exterior. Most people use it at 1:1 for tires, but 1:3 gives a good matte look with just slightly less longevity. |

Looks nice man! I think detailed paint on WRB and DGM look the best (definitely not bias).
