Default Are FA engine oil filter could use on FB engine

Hi all, just have a question on the oil filters for my FB20 engine.
Friend of mine who work at Toyota Dealership told me the 86 engine oil filter are same as my 2013 Impreza 2.0L FB20 engine. I always use Subaru blue oil filter on my Impreza 2.0L non turbo.
According to the size of both filters. the OEM Subaru Blue filter is taller and slim but the 86 filter is short and wider.
I would like to know can I use the FA20 oil filter on my FB20 engine?
Will the spring rate or bypass valve are different?
Thanks for your reply.

Ben

I reckon you can swap filters.

I use my 2014 BRZ's filters on my 2012 Forester, and vice versa with no problem.
