Default Fluid film rust prevention (5 year long term test)

Had fluid film on my impreza the last 5 winters.
It has done a very good job of slowing down and preventing mass rust which we all know can kill our vehicles.

If you wax or ceramic coat don’t forget to do this or you will have rust holes in 10 years in the body.

I use FF on the underside of my car. It works great although a bit messy to use.

It is quite messy but totally beats the alternative. You can wipe fluid film off. Can’t say rust is as easy to get rid of though.

I wonder if you overspray it and don't wipe off the excess whether the dirt that sticks to the car could cause it to rust?

The dirt only sticks to the film so the film is in between the dirt and paint.

Some people actually prefer to drive down a really dusty road right after applying to coat the fluid in dirt, supposedly makes it less likely to come off. Not sure on that though.

I sprayed an entire can of fluid film into a plastic coffee container and used a wax applicator to apply it to every part of undercarriage ,suspension,etc...it was like waxing the car with no mess or drips !

Fluid Filmis an excellent way to protect battery terminals and being non-conductive, will not harm electrical connections. Ensure you make the connections before applying. The non-drying characteristics of Fluid Film will provide long term protection in these applications.
