I got an UEL Header from Agency Power and the collector on the pipes couldn't be modified. I sold it to a friend who put it on his WRX and it sounds great. He gave me his stock one, I want to do this exactly, and it looks a lot more modifiable than the AP one. I think the o2 bung could be welded in from a shop, but the flange on the end is at an upward angle which needs to be bent down because it runs almost DIRECTLY at part of the frame without much room to spare for an additional adapted pipe. Also, the flange is 3 bolt on ours and 2 bolt on WRX. Might be different for different years, mine is an 08' and I'm sure that the flange isn't a big deal. But let me know if you do it before me and how it works!

first off, no offense but you should really try and clean up your grammar ;p
second, to my knowledge you can have uel headers but I nor anybody else can help you before you fill out your profile that tells us about what year 2.5i you have. I have heard/seen many 2.5i's with uel headers, however I was unsure of whether they were aftermarket or just wrx headers on a 2.5i. By the way the sound may be nice but you will gain little to no performance gains by switching to uel headers. Hope this helps! |

If you don't mind, I'd like to add that it will not sound like a WRX. It is a SOHC Non-Turbo. UEL will help, but won't make it sound like a WRX. |

Thanks for the help its a 06 2.5i I like the sound of the boxer rumble on YouTube they sounded pretty darn nice I realize there is no gain in power that is noticeable but with a better intake and better out flow from the exhaust you might notice a small difference I'm not looking for a ricer sound so I am willing to spend the money on the sound not the power

I guess all I want for my car in the long hull is to get another 25hp out of it and have the boxer rumble I was thinking the uel headers and 2.5" back with nice intake and lighter rims with a safe stronger tune over oem and a nice strong and smooth suspension I promise if I do this I'll get a big n/a sticker for the back windshield so people know it's not a wrx or Sti I'd hate to give them a bad name as I know people might assume

I heard that our stock intake is just as good meaning we already pull in enough air for 2.5" and that our headers r already 2.5 till cat is that true for the 2.5"

25 hp is possible via a good tune and maybe a hybrid intake and one less cat in the mix.

Aye don’t worry man, I have an 09 Impreza N/A SOHC, and it’s more reliable. Plus if you port your intake manifolds, your headers, and the intake & exhaust ports on the heads (I’m in the middle of doing that myself) you can just a decent amount of hp gains. Add a lightweight flywheel or crank pulley and it not only is more powerful but a lot peppier. Clean that **** till you can eat pff it, and polish it till you can almost see your reflection and you get good gains. After that’s all done, but a couple cams (only 2 since it’s SOHC) and you can get noticeable difference. put a cold air intake on it and don’t forget to have it tuned for a nice reliable, fairly powerful and responsive car. There’s only a few things that I would like about having a boosted DOHC more than what I currently have
