Default iDataLink Maestro causing issues with Cobb AP

Had a local shop that has always had good reputation install a Pioneer AVH-2550NEX into my 2014 WRX w/o Nav today. Everything works as should besides the Cobb gauges screen resetting/reloading every 15ish seconds. The iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR module and iDatalink HRN-RR-SU1 harnesses were used to hook up the stereo. He spliced into the OBD2 harness so a splitter was not used. All of the on-screen gauges for the stereo work fine. The only issue is the AP Gauge screen will not stay reading as it keeps trying to reconnect every few seconds but it shows gauge readings while it's working. The shop is gonna be looking at it Saturday but he's never seem this issue before so any help is appreciated.

If you need any other information I can give it to you, thanks.

Mine did the same thing. I'm using a y cable for my OBDII but I've reverted to unplugging the maestro from the obd port and just using the AP. 2010 WRX if it matters.

Interested if anyone else has a fix though...

Only one OBD device can communicate with the ECU at a time. When two try, the result is as you see. If/when using the AP is more important (for example, flashing a new tune, reading codes, resetting ECU), you'll have to disconnect the Maestro. You can have a switch rigged up to disconnect the data link to the Maestro for when you need to use the AP.

I was thinking of putting a splitter in it. I didn't think about a power switch though, that would be pretty handy. Thanks for the help.

If your Maestro is spliced in, a splitter wouldn't help, unfortunately, as you'd still be dealing with two devices trying to talk to the ECU. I'm sure there are more complex ways/devices that can split the data pins and sense which channel takes priority when a devices is plugged in and auto switch to that device but a simple hidden switch is far less headache.

Disconnect the pink wire connector. It'll work, only downside is you will no longer be able to re-assign TPMS sensor locations on the iDatalink screen.

Tried this with no success. It killed the Maestro all together.
