Guess I need to buy a Camaro, Corvette or Mustang. Probably going to end up with a CTS-v wagon (for a number of reasons) wife gold stamp approval is one. But sad to see you guys have gone radio silent lately.

Generally speaking, I think part of the issue with people going radio silent isn't just because of social media, but because the car scene is changing.
I want to go to a show to see quality builds, and I really could care less about car limbo and 2 step competitions. Any ratty Del Sol can win either of those and it doesn't have much to do with the quality of a build. |

but they are learning fast. and mainly because all the initial groundwork LIKE NASIOC and all of unabombers manifesto's have been paved and tested and updated. Also, ppl change, life changes, car scene now is hoards of ratted out brz/frs with the "so racecar" look... catalog shopping because there are so many vendors that already punch out parts that fit. I got old and personally don't get any of the 'inside jokes' with the kiddies or infinite meme references. there is still a steady hunt for rare JDM parts, but there is less of a context of application, and more just for 'collecting'. and older subaru is rarely a daily anymore, and with that focus shift, there is a difference of views/opinions/progression or even involvement. Its reflective in the silence. |

I am, but it's taking time as well as heaps of money. The thought has crossed my mind to go FD3S instead, but I just love GDA/B chassis so much to just throw in the towel now. CTSV would be TIGHT, but also $$$$$. And you'll see updates soon-ish, but I'm not in a rush |

Well I plan on keeping my 04 wagon forever, so I will be here. Don't car what the kiddies do. I love the car because it suits my fast car needs, mountain biking, kayak carrying needs, and with snow tires winter needs. By keeping it, it frees up money for other things, like my BRZ.

Not sure if 2009 counts as OG, probably not, but i'm no stance fan. I'm getting into time attack racing and follow as many people with track content as possible. If you are interested, i'm @TT_STI_122. I dabbled in racing last year, running my STI in a few SCCA TT events but it's way too nice to mess up on the track, so I bought an 08 STI hatch with a blown motor to build over the winter specifically for Prepared 2 class in SCCA next year.

Agreed with the points made (been a lurker for some years and just now getting into a Subie from an s14). The scene has changed in leaps and bounds to say the least, and not necessarily for the better in all situations.
Having said that, I'd like to share an IG I hit up for inspiration a bunch, @nico.sti |

I'm new to this whole movement since I recently bought a Subaru Wrx and am just getting used to it. I bought it just for the soul, and I am very much attracted to it. So far, I am delighted with it. The car brings a lot of positive emotions. I left my Camry to my wife, so I don't have to take her to work every day. I started posting photos of her once, but something went wrong, and I decided to delete my account. I couldn't do it because Instagram only gave the option to deactivate the account, and I went looking for answers on the internet. I managed to visit site that explained everything in detail. To my deep regret, it was true. I cannot permanently delete the account. Perhaps someday, I will resume my activities and continue to post photos of my beauty.

Pretty cool stuff; I've always loved these Subaru. And I'm also glad there are newbies here to join this forum. Maybe in this way, they will recover. By the way, I'm curious, did anyone put mileage stoppers on their car? I apologize for writing here. I decided to ask everything at once. I found it on this site, so I want your professional opinion.

Dope!
This is great! I love this idea. Losing the traffic here on the forums has def sucked. @STikenny22 is mine, original 05 STi owner bringing her back from the dead. Threads and now Insta has been a great wealth of knowledge. Thanks guys, great work,
