2015 CVT Sputtering
Hello, I have a 2015 CVT stage 2 with mishimoto catted downpipe, Cobb SF intake, TGV/EGR delete, CVT transmission cooler, Process West Verticooler, and protuned.
Whenever I accelerate to about 3k RPM’s my AF correction 1 instantly hits 0.00 and my car will start to sputter or jerking and stops accelerating. I can still cruise as long as I keep it under 3k but as soon as it hits the problem starts. I recently had a smoke test and they found a coupler for the intercooler popped off so they fixed that along with a new MAF sensor and harness when the problem first started. Car ran fine up until last night it started it again. Tuner said I could need a new intake, so they’re putting the stock air box back on to see if that fixes anything. Does anyone know what else could be happening??? I had spark plugs done in April this year when I got it stage 2.

is it, the sputtering at any throttle position/percentage? or does it only happen at WOT?
if you creep up to 3k RPM, say traveling down the hwy and approach hwy speeds in 4th or 5th, does the sputtering occur? fueling issue (like not enough fuel (pressure)? spark being blown out (too big of a gap)? |

Not sure if this is related but my manual car was jerky and running like crap. Took me a long time to figure it out but turned out to be the plastic turbo inlet housing that mounts to the turbo wasn't making a good seal, causing the car to pull in unmetered air after the maf. I guess this was leaning things out and it would be super jerky and overall felt like a hesitation. Took the turbo inlet off and made sure the gasket fit flush and no more issues. Butter smooth. This was the last place I thought to check so give it a try. The hesitation would start around 2500 rpm or so when boost started coming on

Doesn’t have to be WOT. About 40% acceleration position it will do it as the RPMs in rise up to 3k. Happens in any gear I’m in as long as it hits about that 3k mark it happens. |
