Default Graphene coating?

Has anyone tried out Graphene coating? I have a local place that's willing to coat my entire car for $549(includes paint correction). Just looking for something that will protect the paint(I live in florida) as well as make cleaning a little easier.

It's still so new and many manufacturers don't have it available yet that not many people have much experience. A few reviews can be found, but I haven't seen any long term reviews and most of the big name detailers don't want to comment on them yet.

heres my opinion about new stuff, I hate being the guinea pig so why try something new if there is something that is proven that does the same thing?

From what I've gathered Graphene is a little better than ceramic as ceramic coatings retain heat which can lead to a lot of water spotting while graphene does not. I'll be the guinea pig lol getting it done on the 29th.

Clear wrap is also a great option.

If you aren't willing to do the paint correction yourself then I'd have the shop do it and save yourself some money with the coating by doing it yourself. Adam's Polishes recently came out with a Graphene spray coating that looks very easy to apply.

Does it have a strong smell during application? Considering this for a white car and the fact that it's a black liquid weirds me out.

549 for a "coating", & paint correction, just how bad of job are they going to do?

Exactly. I don't even think I would be changing pads on the DA for an entire single stage at this price lol. But do keep in mind that every locale will set their own price point. What I do for $500 might cost $1500 elsewhere. Looking at prior work, and having set prices for services (with detailed descriptions of what is included) is what matters.
