Default STI Seats

Will the STi seats be almost the same as the existing WRX seats. The reason I ask, is that I sat in an EVO yesterday and the seats were SOOOOOO much better than the WRX. I know many will say don't base the decision on the seats as you can change them, but I have no interest in doing that.

They are not the same as the WRX seats, although the more I look they are starting to look more similar.

They are not the same... less side bolstering for instance.

People that have sat in both the EVO and STi have generally stated they like the EVO seats much better.

They have an integrated head rest and shoulder bolsters. The bottom has lower side bolsters and appears to me that the seat is a bit shorter than either the evo or the wrx.

Just to clarify, the MY2004 WRX and STi appear to share identical construction with the exception of upholstery. However, these are NOT the same seats found in the current (MY2003 and earlier) WRX that you would likely have tested. All that said, and based only on posted images, the EVO seats look more supportive than the MY2004 STi.

They don't look supportive. They should have used the JDM STi seats. Now anyone who has sat in those can vouch for the support. Too bad not many ppl over 200lbs can fit comfortably. I guess that's why they redisigned the seats for us fat americans.

Thumbs down

I sat in the USDM STi and they suck. Even with my big fat ass I could slide around easily. I don't know why they just didn't use JDM seats and say if you can't fit in them, lose'em.

With jeans on it was very difficult to move on the seat... My butt was moving more from underwear on jeans then jeans on escaine... I found the seat very confortable...

Subaru of America, it's not too late to give us the JDM seats!

The US STi seats are really awful with hardly any support . . .
