I tend to like my photos best when it's extremely overcast because the highlights naturally come out white. But I see many shots online that are blue skies or golden hour that also have very white highlights on the car and I like the look.
I typically desaturate the car a little if it's a neutral color.

Thanks! Where do you get the sky blanks? How do you blend them in with a shot like that with motion blur on the background?

I've been going that route and just leaving the reds untouched because that's the only color on my car. Seems to work pretty well, but it's hard to get it looking natural.

Yes, always. You need to use masks and tweak individual color channels.

Honestly I have them from thinking to myself it's a pretty sky I want some pics of it for my sky bank haha. I then save them to a folder and go back and use them as needed. I have some overcast, some sunny with few clouds to sunny with many, to high contrast. Enough to have one for almost every shot i take. I usually just drop it in and put opacity to 50% so i can see it and position it just below the horizon in the shot then put it back to 100%. I put a mask over it then use the gradient tool to gradually feather the sky in makes it usually a seamless transition.

Lighting was not the best, but I think I managed to save the shot. Single exposure.

Its been way too long since I posted here but ive been watching a bunch of you on instagram and you guys have been killing it lately!

Wanted to get some feedback on this shot, just started doing light painting more often and this is my first indoor light painting shot so tear it to pieces and tell me what I did wrong lol. Not super happy with the back bumper/wheel edge against the wall but thats about as good as I could get it :/

This pic just does it for me. Totally evokes a strong feeling, like I can just imagine myself in that car in that setting. Love it

I would probably try to get the car a little more under exposed and use dodging and burning on the car to get the contours right. The whites are really bright so a lot of the lines aren't visible.

If you're asking about the wheels, I'm 99% sure they're the 05-07 BBS STI wheels

Got rid of the STi and picked up a new Mazda Miata Club. Put 1000 miles on it within the first week of ownership and it's been nothing but a blast so far. I couldn't resist grabbing some photos with the beautiful scenery up there.

I was hoping that the Method 503s looked that close to the 05-07 BBS wheels
