Default Custom Alternator Shroud

Good afternoon,

I made something today at work and wanted to show the NASIOC community. I saw something like this a little while ago while shopping for roof racks for my 2015 STi. I figured, I can make that, and it will only cost me materials. It is the first of it's kind, and is subject to change.

Below are some links to my Google Drive because posting images seems to be the hardest thing to do on this site.

Material: 1.4mm Stainless Steel

Nice piece.

Heavy piece.

Maybe do 1/2 the thickness (although looks like you did a setup and punched out multiple parts)?

Nice part none the less.

Rtv: Yes we manufacture lasers, press brakes, punch machines, laser marking systems, tube lasers, metal 3d printers, and hand tools

Charlie: the picture shows 2 pieces together, the final piece is 1.4mm stainless which I believe to be the ideal thickness. The Perrin and Grimmspeed equivalents are 1mm thick stainless, which shows they are skimping on materials. It must be my German blood that makes me over-engineer things lol

how are they "skimping" on materials? who gives a ****, it's a trendy engine dress up part. butt_yeah, .016" worth of extra thickness is gonna make or break a pulley cover. my uncool plastic ones have never failed, yet goddamn the man for ripping us off with these .4mm deficient wimpy ones!!!1

you should teach them a REAL lesson and make a .4mm thicker license plate cover! **** it, go .5mm thicker to show 'em who's boss!

Unfortunately I do not own a plastic injection molding machine to do license plate covers. Although a machine of that sort is on my radar.

Thank you for your kind words.

If anyone would like one I would be more than happy to ship it to you as well as painted the colour you'd like.
