Default Recall on modded engine, WUK96-1 Insufficient Tightening Torque of EPF Nuts

I only just now noticed this recall after listing the car on Ebay and looking at the AutoCheck report. Says the nuts for exhaust manifold could be loose. But I have aftermarket headers. So if I bring it in will they just check and see it's not original and mark it down as being completed? I don't wan't to sell it having an open recall.

Recall no longer applies since you removed the OEM exhaust manifolds.

I understand that but I don't want an outstanding recall showing when anyone runs an AutoCheck.

Let’s pretend your prospective buyer has an ounce of common sense. Tough these days, I know. They will see “XXXX headers” in the listing and put two and two together.

You still need to take the car to a dealer for the recall. No work will be performed- they will simply record that there is an aftermarket header. There is a separate labor op (EPF INSPECTION ONLY, A/MARKET EPF FOUND) that gets entered in the system to show the recall has been completed.
