Default EJ22 no spark

Heidi ho there neighborino!

I have a 1998 impreza coupe EJ22 with an after market turbo. We had fun but I finally blew it up. I snagged a new engine out of an automatic for $300, swapped the cam and crank sprockets, threw it in the GM8 and tried to start it. No spark. I have checked the coil pack, the resistance on the cam & crank sensors and the engine ground. Can I please get some advice on where to go next? Thanks!

Have you checked to see that power is getting to all the proper ignition areas? If that is good then check to make sure power is getting to the main relay and all the power connections to the ECU. Make sure the engine grounding is good. Some folks have failed to connect all the engine grounds when changing engines.

I have also seen some cases (not many) where it was hooked up but the grounding cable was broken internally (partially or completely) from moving it around, thanks to being weakened by battery corrosion.
