2. where did u place ur gps atenna
3.what wiring harness did u use and whats the cheapest(id rather not splice the oem harness more like plug in play the ony thing i will splice is the paraking brake one to the ground so infor can be entered on the run)

this is what i found on a google search http://www.amazon.com/Stereo-Harness-Subaru-Impreza-installation/dp/B000KL365Kbut what about the rca ports? or is that just for componant spekers or will i have to add the rca connection to the harness to work?

What year car do you have, that makes all the difference for the dash kit and the wiring harness and the GPS antenna placement. I have an 09 2.5i this is all what I got
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001JT03VM/ref=oss_product Thats the dash kit
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VXED54/ref=oss_product Wiring Harness
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002K5FU5I/ref=oss_product Screen protector
As for the GPS antenna theres a little pocket right behind the clock pod, you cant see it but if you reach in there you can just place the antenna in the pocket.

I love this headunit, Its one of the best Ive had, you will see that a lot of other members like this unit, especially our head mod around here Audiosavvy.
And dont worry about the RCA connections unless you have an aftermarket amp

I PM'd you the ebay link to $6 harnesses.

And don't you think it's a little late to have 2nd thoughts / research issues AFTER you bought it?

I am installing it now. I got a Subaru stereo harness, and soldered that to the Pioneer harness, so no permanent vehicle modification. The GPS antennae, I put under the clock pod, or gauge pod on mine. I made sure they were clear of the gauges for unobstructed GPS view, and attatched the metal magnet to the air vents. The mic seems to work good. I called a few people, and some didn't know I was on the mic until I told them. I am having trouble syncing my Palm contacts, but haven't really messed with the GPS part. Got it more for the bluetooth cap. The audio is a little confusing at first, keep the manual handy. Also, this is in my 03, fill out your profile so we know what year and model you are working on.
