The big issue is if it repeatable or not and if the knock is clustered around an area and not random.

You should run an analysis of you hour+ log and see if all the reported knocks are clustered around a particular load/rpm. There is a spreadsheet in rr to do this. Then play with timing in that area to see if you can reduce it

A couple more thoughts:
First make sure the knock is real. The stock sensor can interpret certain engine noise as knock. Easiest way to do this is to make yourself a auditory knock sensor. The. You can listen to the engine and see if you hear it knock when the ecu reports a knock.
Make sure you don't have a bolt laying on the block that you dropped in there and that nothing is loose and tapping the block.
Finally if you find where your knock is concentrated and verify that it's real, make small adjustments to you timing to see if things get better.

So just to clear things up for me as I'm new to the opensource tuning world, would you be able to do an N/A to turbo conversion on the stock ecu (obviously other supporting mods would be needed) so long as you had the knowledge to tune the computer properly?
