Default Engine swapped, ECU flash not stock

Hey guys,

I bought a 2009 WRX with a blown motor so I dropped in a newer used engine and brought it back to stock.

The car runs fine, no problems. But I compared the current flash with the factory tune from: http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.p...ilityList#toc3

A compare in EcuFlash came up with these differences:

Does it make sense to just restore the factory flash? I'm not a tuner, I just know a bad tune can damage a motor and I know nothing about what was done to this ECU before I got it. Previous owner claimed it was not tuned of course.

Looking at the compare further, I noticed this:

[21:00:51.387] metadata model: AZ1G401V | A2TB001N

A2TB001N is the ID for a 2008 Legacy GT. Am I correct in assuming someone flashed this WRX with a 2008 Legacy GT tune?

First, how are the saved values tables ? Knock, fuel trim ? That may show you if it's safe to keep driving the way it is.

I would download that LGT tune, compare the tables to your current tune.

If they all match, then it wasn't really tuned, just changed. I saw the A2TB001N is suppose to be updated to get rid of hesitation on acceleration. And the lgt was tuned for 20HP more then the same year wrx. But I don't know about using it across different models (legacy/wrx)

If some tables don't match, then it was also tuned. Since the motor was blown, I would probably want to switch back to a stock tune.
