Killer B Ultimate Oil Pickup Gasket
Does anyone know if you can use the OEM oil o-ring for the top of the KillerB ultimate oil pickup on an EJ205? Tried to look at their installation instructions but that is a broken link on their site.

Is there any simple way to tell the difference between the EJ205 Ultimate oil pickup and one made for the EJ25?

So interesting points. I have a pickup, windage tray, and STI oil pan that came off a parts car. I assume that if the pickup was used with an STI oil pan on an EJ205, that its the EJ25 version?

I also think my Subaru Dealer gave me the wrong o-ring for my pickup tube. Top one is the old one (slightly flattened), and the two below are the ones provided by the dealer. I think they were supposed to give me 806917080 not 806916080.

I’m running the same set up (207 w/ 06+ sti pan and dip stick), thanks for the post I wasn’t sure that they offered anything for the older style pans. |

Let me sort some of this out
The pickups ARE different. EJ20 pickup is for EJ20s with Stock Oil Pan (flat Bottom style). EJ25 works with ANY EJ engine that has any year STi, or 2006-2014 WRX, oil pan. If you're outside the US, please contact us as the part numbers may be different. BTW, I do NOT recommend sticking with the older flat bottom style oil pan if you are doing any performance driving. They are much more likely to cause oil starvation issues than the newer 'STi' style oil pan. |

Are you doing it or a shop? If a shop, what is that cost vs. a better oil pan? My guess, get the other oil pan, cheaper, faster, easier. Yes, you will likely either sell the WRX pickup or mod it......I have not run the numbers, so I don't know. You doing a DD, some AutoX, track days? These answers need to be known to give any meaningful answer. Just throwing stuff out there for others to comment on. |

IMO, if you're doing SCCA type rallycross I'd not be worried about pulling enough Gs for the flat bottom to be a problem.

Its dirt gravel and snow. Its very amateur so winter tires or Cheap/used rally tires. I figured with with loose surfaces it will be ok, and on pavement, there are no tracks so i wont be pushing it really hard on the street. I thought maybe there was something simple like having a few pieces of flat bar welded to the pan to slow the sloshing effect.

For the future, not a bad idea to keep an eye out for a used STi pan. They can be had cheap on the used market. |

For those interested the gasket in the picture above is the incorrect gasket. Proof that you should always do your homework and not always trust the dealer. Maybe trust but verify. Also, the -115 gasket referenced by KillerB is the following dimensions.
Inside Diameter (In): 11/16 Inch Outside Diameter (In): 7/8 Inch Thickness (In): 3/32 Inch |

^ All true. As a dorky engineering side note, these dimensions are 'nominal'. If you put calipers or micrometer on them, they will read differently. This is just how the o-ring manufacturer's show sizes. If you're ever not sure, an o-ring chart will give you the exact 3-place decimal dimensions. |

Killerb oil pick up/ baffle
Hello, everyone I am new to NASIOC. Hopefully I'm posting on the right forum. Anyways, I own a 2003 wrx 2.0L (5mt) and I am planning on getting a killerb oil pickup and baffle but I have heard that the killerb pickup is only compatible with an Ej205 oil pan therefore I am curious as to if an Ej205 oil pan will fit the 2003 wrx, also will I need to get a Ej205 dipstick to get correct oil readings and do I need a Ej205 dipstick tube or can I keep the OEM dipstick tube in the 2003 wrx and just change the dipstick?

You heard what? Did you even go on KillerB's website and see with your own eyeballs?
