Default Having a power steering issue

So I've got an 04 STI and a few days ago I just randomly started leaking power steering out fluid (ATF) out of my rack and pinion or somewhere near it. This happened with my 05 WRX too but I never had a chance to figure it out before the car was gone. Does anyone else have this issue and know what it is? Do I need a new rack and pinion or is it just a high pressure hose that needs fixed.

I have seen them leak from the seal where the steering shaft goes in, leak where the control valve joins the rack, the seals on the left and right rack bushings, at all the lines between the valve and rack, the pressure and return lines, the suction line, the pump body and pump shaft. Don't think I have seen a reservoir leak...
Whatever it was I always had to get under the car and look, maybe even clean some fluid off to see where it was coming from before replacing parts.

Give your steering rack a thorough cleaning so that you can easily locate the source of the leaks.
