Many, many short throws were port installed incorrectly on these cars, causing cables to bind and even break.

There is a thread on that somewhere.

However, what Ive read in this thread, just sounds like WRX Ive ever driven.

Perhaps you people just are not used to the noisy, clanking, sloppy gearbox that Subaru puts in the WRX.

Good to know about the short throw I'll try and find the thread. I've driven a decent amount of them and the 2015 is a bit more clunky sounding IMO because of the counterweight, but what I'm describing is a bit different. And only from 2nd to 3rd upshift. If we are saying on every 2015 this exists then I just won't worry about it.

They replaced the bearings after I brought it back a second time for the same issue

It took twice to get them to recreate what happened.... They had the cat for 4 days the first time and 2 days the second time, they said thru drove it everyday, the last day finally the tech was able to recreate the shifter issue. Noise when clutch was depressed went away and the stick has been good ever since. I would say take ut in, tell them under what circumstances the shifter has issues as good as you can so they have the best chance of recreating the issue. Best of luck to you

When I had my 06 wrx, I used to "double clutch" and launch that car all the time- well I ended up destroying the 3rd/4th gear syncros cost me 2 grand back in 07 to fix. Sounds like u have the same problem

Default Racing stock transmissions will cause gears to grind

No one wants to accept that racing a WRX with stock transmission causes gears to grind. If you don't want your stock transmission to grind then
A. Buy upgraded transmission
B. Drive like you have a stock transmission
