Question rename this forum?

{puts on a helmet}
i think we should call it "forced induction"... there more than one way to force feed air than just a turbo.
{runs from the mob of turbo'd ricers}

Name change sounds good to me, but I vote for "Virtual Displacement"

Or maybe even "virtual induction" to cover all the poor people who pay for turbo kits, never seem to get them, but may still enjoy talking about what they would do if they did have them.

How about something more agreeable:

2.0T For the EJ20 owners(wrx, jdm swap, etc...)

2.?T For the EJ22/25/etc...

"Forced Induction" sounds good...although I think you could probably count the number of people running superchargers on one hand.

All the supercharger owners are very quiet. i dont know why!
i know of me and 2 others that have rimmers. and i see others selling rimmer kits. so there has got to be more than 5.
Also there is a capa liberty kit from aussie.

i guess they just surf the board but dont post much.

Personally, i like my SC'd RS better than a new WRX. i dont have as much top end... but the instant power spins all 4. only 2.5psi! when i run 7 it'll either be a rocket or a melted heap haha

what i noticed is that most if not all of the tuning knowledge about a turbo can be applied to a sc setup. and without this BB i'd be clueless!

G, it's not just a simple change because all the threads would have to be updated once the name was changed, some sort of UBB5 limitation. Which means the entire board has to be offline so I can update the threads.

It's something that might happen though, but like most everyone else said... the SC kits would have to actually exist in a mainstream fashion before it will most likely change.

I have a midget under my hood that blows big breaths of air into my throttle body. I guess forced induction would explain my setup but short induction would identify it better.

I'd like a "WRX Engine" and "Forced Induction" furoms instead of this. I'm sick of filtering through the WRX posts.

Please?

DLC - go post in the Legacy forum.

The WRX owners are equally sick of filtering the non-WRX content. Split the forum. Give WRX it's own major section and have powertrain, suspension, and general under that. The r... , er, I mean dress-up folks can have a section too, if they want.

It's frustrating to find some cool subject line and then discover that it's some wacky 2.5 RS turbo drag racer deal with 20 lbs of boost, clear lens covers, indiglo gauges, and a neon light underneath.

Or better yet, give everyone his own forum, then no one can complain about irrelevant content.

Kinda pushing my idea again, but I will support my idea of making seperate forums for each engine type(displacement?) by saying that this is how VWVORTEX does things and it works well there.

I do support a split of some sort...

Although in general a turbo is a turbo. The challenges of modifying a Production Turbo Car is much different than modifying a non-turbo car to take forced induction.

To reflect this maybe "Production Turbo" vs "Aftermarket Forced Induction"
