Sti break in period
As stated in the title I’m curious about this break in period.
So here’s the deal, I currently own a 2018 subie forester. I’m trading it in for a 2021 wrx sti. I was never told about the break in period for the forester but I was told about it with the sti. my question(s) is this. How many of you had issues during the break in period? How many of you went over the recommended 4K rpm before hitting 1k miles? How many of you did an oil change at 500miles or 1k miles? Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. |

The standard information would be in your car’s owners manual but people do all kinds of crazy stuff and it seems not to correlate with longevity.
Do a quick oil change if that would make you feel better, but it’s not really needed. |

Thanks bud! Yeah, I was great with my forester. I’m a pretty low key driver and take good care of my automobiles. |
