Default Excessive Shifter Up & Down Travel (am i missing something?)

Just finished swapping in a JDM Non-DCCD Sti Trans (2002-2003) into my 06 WRX Wagon a few weeks back. I purchased TIC's Holy Shift bushings combo and installed a Cobb STS. But, i've always noticed there is a considerable amount of movement up and down if i pull up on the shifter itself and it doesn't at all seem normal to me. I was beginning to thing I hadn't put in the Pivot cup & C-Clip so i ordered those (and the 2 orings) but I went to the car earlier just to poke around and realized it's all there so my question is, is there something that is supposed to go under the pivot cup? I feel like i'm definitely missing something. I've been looking at parts diagrams but can't really find a solid answer on what i may need.

Video for reference (don't mind the overly applied grease!)

Do i possibly have the wrong stay bushing/pivot cup?

It's there, it's just covered in grease. I have a new cup, O-rings, and C clip arriving today. I am going to clean everything off and try the new parts - maybe these O-rings are shot and aren't creating any tensions to hold the cup in place. Guess we will find out today

Did the 6MT come with a shifter? It should have.
Did you check the movement with the 6MT shifter?

If you had similar movement, then most likely not your SS shifter.
You should not have anywhere near that amount of movement.
