Default 01 RS trans/06 WRX clutch resisting shifts under load

I have a 2001 RS with a 2004 WRX EJ205, running the stock gearbox with 150K on it. When I did the swap I put in a brand new 2006 WRX clutch and Exedy lightweight flywheel (also push-type). I also installed a new RS throwout bearing and clutch lever arm. For reference I run Motul 8100 Xcess in the transmission and use the STI 5MT short shift kit.

When I'm driving calmly, the transmission has been fine. It shifts smoothly and the clutch works normally. However, when I push the car a little bit, and try to make quicker shifts at higher engine speeds under greater load, the car doesn't want to go into gear. It doesn't grind or anything, I just can't push it into gear until the revs drop almost to idle. On rare occasions, if I let off the gas sharply and push the clutch in at just the right moment and the revs drop about 1k immediately instead of blipping slightly, I can get it to slot in-- almost like I've rev-matched on an upshift.

This leads me to believe the clutch isn't disengaging properly, possibly because of the fact that I'm using the RS throwout bearing and shift lever with an 06 WRX clutch and flywheel combo. Do any gearbox gurus know if the 06 WRX throwout bearing and shift lever are different from the 01 RS parts, and if using this combination can result in the symptoms above? Can I swap over to the 06 WRX parts and correct my shift maladies?
