Bumping old thread
I have been having issues with 'clutch slipping' in very cold weather, replaced the clutch (had 80k on it) and it didn't fix the problem. Turns out the rear left axle popped out. Used a pry bar to push it back in until you hear a click as the retaining clip engages. Slipped out on the top picture, normal on the bottom. |

Having the same problem. Blobeye. Replaced the clutch a month ago during warmer weather clutch grabbed really great. Then colder weather hits and I get a grinding noise and slipping when I accelerate. Sometimes I get a clunck on my rear driver side under weight and acceleration. Especially with passengers on the rear driver side. Gonna look into that axle issue. Will update

Drive rear Axle had popped out of rear diff like a half inch. Just enough to see a little bit of the end of the axle. Pushed it back in and car rides like a dream again. Idk what causes this but it seems that it pops out just enough to where you lose awd.
