D-Rodman is not wrong. That's pretty much not going to happen. Even with the 245/35R18, the tires will contact the fenders at full suspension compression, unless you roll and/or run aggressive camber. With 265/35R18 it's going to run the tires into the fenders no matter what. You could do it if you added some Karlton flares and carved up your stock metal fenders...

Default Availability?

Dan,

After viewing some of the beautiful pics and looking into the specs more, I decided to grab a set... only to find only bronze and silver seem to be available in the 18*9.5. The email reply I got said no ETA, wonder if you might have inside info on when satin gunmetal might be around?

Thanks

Wheels take a while to make, and then a while to transport, so it'll be some months.

Hey Dan, do have a photo of Crucial Wheel 19x9 on stock ride height for VA chassis STI?

Thank you!

This is not a standard STI, but it's a full-height S209. Tires are taller than standard STI, at 265/35R19 instead of 245/35R19.

Excellent thread Dan. Well, this one and the Wicked Awesome thread too.

Hmmm, not many red WRX/STI running the Crucial wheel. I may need to change that.

My goal is to mimic the Audi RS colorway with (bright) silver wheels and silver mirror caps.

Assuming all goes as planned (my plans don't always work as designed), I will go with bright silver Crucial in 18x9.5 and run a 265/35/18 G-Max AS05 tires because I will run them year 'round here in OH. [suspension is stock for now].

However, if I find that not entirely possible due to excess white stuff on the roads, I can always switch to my (ugly) 17x8 OE wheels with more appropriate seasonal rubber.

Second choice on the wheel color is the Satin Gunmetal. (Wife says no gold : despite the Subaru heritage.)

Crucial is a flow-formed wheel with ten spokes. It clears all STi Brembo brakes, including the original four-pot versions and the 2018+ six-pot Brembos. Currently it's available in 18x9.5" +42, in both 5x100 and 5x114 bolt patterns. We're thinking about a 19" version.

Hi Dan, is the White WRX pictured here with "Gloss" or "Satin" machine gun metal? Thanks!

If you don't get a response here, try emailing them, they were pretty responsive when I reached out.

Very happy with my gunmetal gloss wheels.
